Cady Hill is Open!

It’s been 195 days since Cady Hill was closed by the last autumn’s windstorm. On May 12th, approximately 100 volunteers came, saw, and kicked some butt to get some of our beloved trails back open. While Cady is not fully opened, we have dropped ropes where we can…

Currently, best access to the Cady Hill network is via Charlie’s and the Substation on Cady Hill Rd.    Please consider riding your bike to the trailheads.    Please be conscientious of local businesses when thinking of best parking areas close to Cady Hill.   While Cady is only partially open, please also consider mixing in some rides out at Adams Camp and Sterling Forest

Thanks go to Waterbury Area Trails Alliance for lending us tools yesterday and thanks to Black Diamond BBQ & von Trapp Brewing for nourishing the volunteers aprés

Our journey doesn’t end here. Stowe Trails Partnership will continue working hard to get Cady 100% open.   We’ll be working with the Town of Stowe, the Stowe Land Trust, trail builders, and, of course, volunteers to help bring back Cady Hill better than ever.

Check out our Conditions page to see what’s open…

So get out there and ride bikes. That’s what its all about.
