Rider at Cady Hill in Stowe

Cady Hill Forest

Cady Hill Forest is STP’s flagship trail network; its diverse terrain, great views, easy access from Town and the Stowe Rec Path, and trails that cater to just about any level of rider make it one of the most ridden trail networks in the northeast.

The effort to conserve the Cady Hill Forest property was undertaken by Stowe Trails Partnership, the Stowe Land Trust (SLT), and the Town of Stowe in May 2012; the land was purchased by SLT and transferred to the Town of Stowe.

Recommended Rides

Riders can take Cady Hill Climb trail up to the Green Chair Overlook. Descend on the bermed Upper Bear’s trail before continuing on Bear’s trail singletrack to return to the parking lot. For more berms, add Cady Hill Connector out up and up to Florence; descending Florence you can then return to Cady Hill Connector via Snake. Mix up the machine built flow with hand built classics like Bridgey and Zog’s. Advanced riders will enjoy classic technical singletrack on the Schween Haus loops.
