The Stowe Trails Partnership seeks a dynamic, highly motivated, and exceptionally organized candidate for Executive Director of this non-profit organization.  STP works closely with the Town of Stowe, Stowe Land Trust, and the entire Stowe community to manage and maintain over 30 miles of multi-use trails for mountain biking and other recreational uses.  Duties include, but are not limited to, leading and supporting STP’s Board of Directors; managing day to day operations and communications; managing and cultivating relationships with stakeholders; strategic planning; community outreach; event planning; grant writing and fundraising. The candidate must be a highly effective communicator, both written and verbal.  Knowledge of Stowe’s trails and mountain bike culture is a plus. 

 

Full Time Position
The Executive Director (ED) will manage the daily operations of Stowe Trails Partnership aka STP, consistent with its mission.  The ED will collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure the highest standard of overall operation, as established by STP. The ED shall report to the STP Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and manage general operations of the organization
  • Support and engage the Board of Directors as well as serve and support each committee. Build board involvement with strategic direction
  • Implement, execute, enhance and maintain standards surrounding policies, programs, and  strategic goals relating to trail acquisition and stewardship, membership, partner relations, public relations, development, fundraising,  finance, communications, volunteers and marketing
  • Actively engage, and coordinate with the stakeholders and the community
  • Enhance and leverage all aspects of communications and public relations
  • Seek new opportunities in order to further support the organization and its mission

  • Creating, managing and disseminating reports
  • Event planning and coordination
  • Marketing and advertising including STP newsletter

Executive Director compensation
Salary for the position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
