Welcome STP’s New Board President!

(Grace, the trail dog, & Roger Murphy)

Please join STP in welcoming Roger Murphy as the new STP Board President!

Roger, who has been on the STP board for 5 years and teaching at Stowe High for 22 years, lives in Elmore with his wife and two children. He started riding mountain bikes in 1991 on a rigid Gary Fisher Celerity, but really got passionate about riding when he started teaching in Stowe and could ride the Strawberry Farm trails after work. Roger rides every chance he can, primarily in Stowe and Morrisville, but loves to explore new areas both close by and far away. He hopes that in the coming years STP can continue to maintain our existing trails, but also make vital connections between our trail pods as well as create new trails that will appeal to all riders, from beginners to experts. He also hopes to develop closer relationships with other VMBA chapters in our vicinity in hopes that we can all benefit from shared passions and experiences.

Please join me in welcoming Roger in this new role and also sending a heartfelt thanks to Drew Clymer, the outgoing President. Drew has worked diligently and passionately for almost a decade as STP’s fearless champion and work horse. We are sad to say goodbye to Drew, thankful for his years of hard work, and in awe of his service to our local mountain biking community.
