2020 Annual Report

Stowe Trails Partnership and our passionate community of trail enthusiasts had more to celebrate in 2020 than we ever could have imagined!

In the face of significant challenges and uncertainty, STP’s 1200+ members, along with our Community Supporters and local business Sponsors, rallied to make 2020 an incredibly productive and rewarding year of mountain biking and trail use. More than ever before, we are so thankful for the recreation and inspiration that our trails provide at a time of great need. 

Trail visits were up 31% due to increased desire to be outdoors and recreating. STP was able to meet this significant demand by hiring two trail crew members who professionally maintained and enhanced our network. We also logged over 1,950 volunteer hours this year, exceeding our expectations. And as we gear up for the summer season, we anticipate that trail use will again be a high priority, and STP has an ambitious list of trail plans for 2021. We will begin construction on Stowe’s first truly expert downhill trail, partner with Vermont Adaptive to refurbish 7.2 miles in Cady Hill Forest, continue our initiative to connect all of STP’s trail networks, and much more.
