A Message from STP’s President

Hi neighbor,

I’m reaching out today to inform you that STP’s Executive Director, Evan Chismark, is stepping down in order to pursue a new professional opportunity. We are excited to share that Evan will remain involved and continue working closely with STP to ensure the initiatives that were begun on his watch are seen through to fruition.

Under Evan’s leadership, Stowe Trails Partnership entered a new age of sustainable growth and trail expansion, and more importantly, found new ways to engage the community.

While we’re sad to see Evan go, we’re confident in the resources we have on hand to continue advancing active initiatives. Ensuring STP’s current and future resources are being directed in a way that best suits the Stowe community and the mountain bikers / trail users that support these amazing trails is, as always, at the forefront of our operational agenda.

Rest assured, our drive to continue working with the community to build Stowe’s trail network and expand access remains unchanged.

As the Cady Hill Forest recovery effort continues, know that we are on track thanks to the hard work and collaborative efforts of the Town of Stowe, Stowe Land Trust, and this organization. We’re optimistic that Cady Hill will be back and better than ever before we know it.

There has never been a better time to be a mountain biker in Stowe, and in Vermont as a whole. We are proud to be at the leading edge of the trails and mountain bike advocacy movement that’s helping to bring formerly disparate elements of the state community together. That work will continue, even as STP grows and evolves.

We’d like to thank Evan for his time and efforts these past few years. Please join me in wishing him the best on this new chapter in his life.

Drew Clymer
President
